J.H. Thomas “Tommy” Garrett, 69, of Greenville, KY went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2014 at 2:26 am in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on December 2, 1944 in Greenville, KY the son of Elizabeth Ann Martin and Charlie Pascal Garrett. He was a true cowboy. He loved working on farm equipment and rebuilding tractors. He was a retired coal miner who loved being funny and cracking jokes. He worked daily side by side with his oldest son, Jeff. George Thomas “G.T.” Evitts

George Thomas “G.T.” Evitts, 91, of Greenville, KY died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 23, 1923 in Muhlenberg County the son of George and Annie Evitts. He was an Army veteran serving his country in WWII. He fought in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters earning three bronze service stars, a good conduct medal and World War II Victory medal. He retired from TVA in 1985 after 23 years.
