Gordon Jessup, 78 of Greenville, KY died Friday morning December 16, 2011 at 4:20 a.m. at his home after a lengthy illness.  Gordon was born September 14, 1933 in Greenville, KY the son of Edgar Jessup and Loyce Latham Jessup.  He was a member of Greens Chapel General Baptist Church and was an Army Veteran. Gordon was a retired UMWA coal miner having worked in mines in Kentucky, and Montana.  He was a carpenter and plumber and worked in oil field as a driller in Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 1st wife Sue Mitchell Jessup in 1983.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon December 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, KY by Rev. Darren Pentecost with burial to follow with Military Honors at Greens Chapel Cemetery Greenville, KY.
