Betty Jane Brannon

Betty Jane Brannon, 87 of Central City, KY died suddenly Saturday morning December 24, 2011 at 7:16 a.m. at her home.  Betty was born March 21, 1924 in Stonefort,  Illinois the daughter of George  Beggs  and Georgia Gladys St. John Beggs.  Betty was a member of Second Baptist Church Greenville, KY since 1961 and she retired in 1991 after 16 years at Madison Pipe Supply in Greenville as a Bookkeeper.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 24 years Carl Brannon on October 18, 1975, brothers Carl Beggs, James Beggs, and sister Mary L. Madison.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning December 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY by Dr. Ray England.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon December 27, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Salem Cemetery in Carriermills, Illinois.

Betty is survived by 2 sons Jimmy (Barbara) Brannon of Central City, KY; David (Carolyn) Brannon of Greenville, KY; 4 grandchildren:  Katina Drake, Matt (Megan) Brannon,  Kelly (Brad) Davis, Todd (Meagan) Brannon;  6 great-grandchildren: Travis Drake, Shawna Drake, Madix Brannon, Madaline Brannon, Layla Brannon, Brannon Davis.
