Maltie Wells

Maltie Wells, 96 of Lewisburg, KY died Wednesday morning December 28, 2011 at 4:55 am in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was born on March 4, 1915 in Todd County the daughter of John Thomas McGehee and Dellar Welborn McGehee.  She was the oldest member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Todd County, having been a member for over 80 years.  She was a housewife and a farmer all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 69 years Rufus Wells in 2002, son Melrow Wells in 2007, grandson Bradley Wells, two great grandchildren, Trevor O’Neal, Heather O’Neal, three brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 pm from New Harmony Baptist Church in Todd County, KY by Reverend Tony Evitts and Reverend Donald McGehee. Burial will be held in Carneal Cemetery in Todd County, KY.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 29, 2011 between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY and on Friday after 9:00 am at the funeral home.
