Fonnie Lou (Pete) Williams

Fonnie Lou (Pete) Williams, 75 of Greenville, KY passed away Sunday, January 01, 2012 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital surrounded by her husband and children.

She was born on October 28, 1936 in Muhlenberg County to the late Ina Mae Laney Massey & Hugh Larue Massey. She graduated from Muhlenberg Central High School. She retired from Muhlenberg County Board of Education. Her main goal in life always was to serve God the best she could, and her family and friends both far and wide will attest to her success. She was a member of Greens Chapel General Baptist Church. She loved working with youth and for almost 30 years helped lead in both Bible School and Children’s Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Keith Allen Williams, sisters Oma Ruth Massey and Joyce Raymer.

Fonnie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Howard Williams, two sons, Rickie Williams (Beverly) of Greenville, Timmy Williams (Debbye) of Greenville and daughter, Lisa Stewart (Terry) of Bremen; grandchildren, Jarred Williams (Kelly), of Greenville, Christopher Scott Williams, of Owensboro, Mindy Hardison (Shane) of Greenville, Amanda Shanks (Thomas) of Central City, Daniel Williams (Jessica), of Owensboro, Arny Stewart of Bremen, and Ryan Williams (Abbi) of Central City; great grandchildren Ean Hardison, Stetson Williams, Jesse Williams and Greyson Williams; three sisters, Ernestine Cassida of Pace, Florida, Sue (Tommy)  Knight and Debbie( Charlie) Durall of Greenville, brother-in-law, William L. Raymer, Jr. of Greenville, sister-in-iaw, Marjorie Clay of Greenville, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon January 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, KY by Rev. Walter Evitts, Rev. J. W. Haire, and Rev. Jeremy Teague with burial to follow in Greens Chapel Cemetery Greenville, KY.

Friends may call Tuesday afternoon January 3, 2012 from 5:00p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, KY and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until Funeral time.
